Three Kings

Kade is learning about Mexico for Multi Cultural Night. He celebrated Three King Holiday and shared his own Rosca de Reyes after class with us. I found this one at the market He was thrilled. He started sharing stories he had learned. We all sat around our table breaking bread tuned in to the moment. It was one of those perfect moments all for $4.99.

Rave in the Bedroom

Your bedroom ceiling looks like a Freemont Street Light Show: XL pillow pet light up dino, lighted turtle shell, as seen on TV illuminating polka pillow, ceiling display alarm clock, glow in the dark planets and let me not forget this photo display night light shining across to the opposite wall. You two do not fear dark. As Kade said, "I am just putting the stuff to use". 

NBA

Yep, we officially have a basketball player. Papa Ed Uncle Jake and Binks impatiently wait to take Kade to play hoops. I am excited to finally have one play an indoor sport! I am not a basketball fan unsure emoticon I would push indoor soccer and swimming all year long. He has begged for over a year to play hoops. Kade said, "Mama, I have to get out there and try 'em all. You told me I can only play one at a time. How else will I know what I want to play all of the time? I just gotta play to find out. Right?" True words. I was sold. See you one the court, kid.

George

Daddy and I woke you up for an adventure. Our adventure was a three hour drive down I5. It led us to this surprise encounter tour. You did not know van.... 

We met George. He is a 34 year old African Elephant. We saw him get a bath. He did a few tricks for us. Each one of us fed him a carrot and we all were invited to pet his trunk. It felt exactly how Kade described as wiry. Ashton you were very cautious. You would go near him only if someone was touching you. It took you a lot to warm up to this big teddy bear. On our way out he held a white handkerchief in his trunk and waved it high as we departed. Kaden you thought this was great. They sold Christmas ornaments painted by George. We will have it on our tree year after year remembering this day.

Merry 2014

So much happened on Christmas this year. It was full of new and different. What I loved most is photo number one. We are at GG's house with this crazy group. They are OUR crazy and are loved beyond measure. Binks, Uncle Jake, Auntie Rissa, GG TaTa, Daddy and our five littles: Thank you for being my magic. Same time. Same place. 2015.

German Christms

It was your first big concert. Your class sang a German Christmas song and rang bells with all of your might. You were so loud and proud. The Church's and Papa Kristi came to give their support. The teachers from PreK-8th grade gift a lovely Christmas concert every year. Another night of faith, love, friendship and family.
